The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing your skills. You’ll practice navigation and buoyancy, try deep diving and make three specialty dives of your choosing (it’s like a specialty sampler platter). For every specialty dive you complete, you can earn credit toward PADI® specialty certifications. Here are a few of the many options: Deep, Dive Against Debris, Dry Suit, Enriched Air Nitrox, Fish Identification, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search & Recovery, Underwater Navigation, Drift and Wreck Diver. TAKE THIS COURSE IF YOU WANT TO: Explore below 60ft, IMPROVE your buoyancy, use a compass, gain more diving experience, practice navigation, & sample different types of diving. COURSE FEE: $549 – INCLUEDES: eLEARNING REQUIRED EQUIPMENT LIST: Your own personal basic scuba gear, Knife or cutting tool, AOW Slate, 1 Primary dive light & 1 back up light, SMB & Reel, Whistle & Dive Computer. Please ask us about the AOW student package that includes all the little extras you are required to have. PLEASE NOTE: Suit, tanks, BCD, regulator, compass & weights are NOT INCLUDED in this course (+$80 to rent). Every recreational diver should take this course, challenging yes…but yet, most rewarding. This course will prepare you to prevent problems & if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Every diver that takes this course will tell you, it’s been the best, most engaging course they have participated in. Let’s be the best diver we can be. We will cover: Emergency management & equipment, Self rescue & diver stress, Panicked diver response, In-water rescue breathing, & Dive accident scenarios. PRE-REQUISITES: PADI (or equivalent) Advanced Certification (be over 15 yrs. of age) + PADI Emergency First Response Certified (or equivalent & valid within 24 months) + PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Course. All of these courses are offered through the shop on a regular basis. COURSE FEE: $569.00 INCLUDES: eLearning & Accident Management work slate & pocket mask. The Dive Shop & your dive buddies that you will be diving with will want to see that you have been diving recently, for your safety & theirs, let’s get it done before you make plans to go diving. Let’s get you ready to get back in the water. It starts with a little knowledge review with PADI ReACTIVATE eLearning, (that you will have completed prior to the pool day). Then off to the pool, where you will review gear assembly, refresh your main scuba skills, get your buoyancy tuned, emergency skills review and go over all your basic skills & any skill you feel you need to work on until you are diving like a pro again.
